My baby is 8 months old, one of the absolute best ages for baby portraits. This morning I got the urge to photograph him (can it be called an urge when its an almost constant feeling?), so I grabbed a pretty throw blanket I just bought for photographing newborns, hung it off some furniture in my living room in front of two big windows, and started shooting. For this shoot I was going for simplicity; I wanted classic, timeless baby portraits where his face and eyes would be the focus, not cute clothes or props. Well, I achieved what I was going for. I absolutely love them. This is why I became a photographer- it all started because I so badly wanted to capture my children the way I saw them. Being able to capture the essence of my children- what makes them unique, along with their beautiful features- is what gives me the greatest feeling of joy. That is what photography is all about.
beautiful pictures! beautiful baby, kah!
Thank you!
He’s adorable!! I’m dreaming of becoming a photographer for the same reason! How did you start? What course did you take? What camera would you recommend for a beginner?
